Kara is a highly experienced graphic designer with over 10 years of professional experience working within design agencies. Her career has spanned a diverse range of creative disciplines, including graphic design, print, editorial layout, branding, social media, moving image, animation and photography. Her creative journey began at Leeds Arts University, where she completed an Extended Diploma in Art and Design, achieving three Distinction*s. She went on to study Graphic Design at the University of Huddersfield, graduating with a First-Class BA (Hons), followed by a Master’s degree in Graphic Design with Distinction. Alongside her industry career, Kara has also shared her knowledge and experience through guest lectures for first- and second-year Graphic Design students at the University of Huddersfield. Having spent over a decade working in the creative industry, Kara recently completed a PGCE at Sheffield Hallam University through the Sheffield Teacher Training Alliance, achieving a Distinction. She is now combining her industry experience, academic background and passion for education with her ambition to inspire the next generation of Graphic Designers in further education.
